5 different #OOTD with one sweater

Hello!
I hope everyone is doing well. It is getting colder and colder everyday in Canada around -23℃ everyday...><!

Today, I would like to show you 5 different #OOTD with only one sweater.
I will be using the sweater I introduced in my previous "New York haul."(http://fashionheart118.blogspot.ca/2015/01/new-york-haul.html)

I love this sweater so much especially since I am all about wearing the minimal style.
This plain classic high neck sweater can be worn both casually and dressy.

First, let's go with casual.

casual①
This is probably my go to outfit. I kept this look super casual with a black skinny denim on the bottom.
I accessorized the look with a statement necklace and a red leather purse.

I love the retro looking purse.
keep the piercing as simple as you can when wearing a statement necklace.

top : Gap
bottom : AZUL
necklace : h&m
piercing : Seoul
watch : marc by marc jacobs
bag : urban outfitters
shoes : dr.martens

casual②
This is another similar casual style with a pop of color around the neck. This scarf is actually as big as a blanket, and I would probably be wrapped around in this big scarf during class at school.

scarf : ???
backpack : BURTON

casual③
I love denim×grey together. The denim vest keeps the look casual, but still makes it a little more interesting. Good way to change up your stale everyday outfit.

 denim vest : urban outfitters

casual / dressy
This is an outfit I would wear to a dinner with friends when I want to keep it look effortless, but still put together. Fur vest is so handy to have because you can throw it over any kind of outfit, and it will instantly make it a lot more classy! I added some colorfulness with the clutch and necklace.

fur vest : Barak
clutch : present
necklace : seoul

dressy
This outfit is what I wore to the bar the other day. I didn't want to freeze my self wearing a sleeveless dress, and this was an alternative solution. And can we take a moment to gaze at this studded shoes!haha I can never have enough studded items! They are perfect edge to the outfit.

skirt : forever21
shoes : I♥MJ

actually... you can always tone down your dressy outfit just by switching some accessories, shoes, etc. Here, I wore my black flat & comfortable dr. martens boots instead of the heels, and added a backpack. I would totally go to school like this in Japan!

there's also an option for bright scarfs - keep warm and cozy!

Hope this post was somewhat inspirational!
There are countless of ways to wear a simple clothing item, so take a good care of your clothes, and love them♡

See you again in the next post~ chao~

~BONUS PICTURE~
this is how I actually dress outside in the winter in Canada most of the time...
IT'S BELOW -20 DEGREES EVERYDAY!!! AGH!
you have to zip up your warmest coat all the way up, and wear your snow boots so that you don't slip!
(yes, i know, very sad. I cannot wait to dress up again in Japan. haha)

coat : Prada
snow boots : Kodiak

New York haul

New York haul
Hi. Today, I would like to share with you some of my favorite purchases I made when I was traveling to New York & Chicago.

First, I found these perfect sweaters! I always say this when I buy something, but they were really really what I was imagining in my head. haha  I love how they are very simple, have perfect length, and how they are thick enough to keep me warm and cozy. I can easily imagine myself reaching for them often to match with a pair of leggings or denim and topping it off with a statement necklace. Surprisingly, these two were both from Gap, so they were quite reasonable! yay!

Speaking of statement necklace, I purchased this gorgeous necklace too. I love how they are bold but still settle and nicely detailed. (if that makes sense...!)

For shoes, I bought these dr. martens boots. I got the chelsea style which I think is very chic looking, and matches with everything. They are real leather and very comfortable to walk in.

I also bought a hat in this pretty carmel color. I am recently obsessed with hats, and I cannot have enough! This is from the store express.

The next one is not a fashion item, but I have to show it to you guys! I bought 4 paintings sold in front of the metropolitan museum in New York. They are each perfectly framed in these black and white simple frames. When I saw these, I instantly though of buying 4, and putting them up in my room like this. I am very happy with how it turned out :) I love decorating and making my room a comfortable space. I believe home is a significant place where inspiration begins!

This is not a fashion item as well, but I love it so much that I have to share it again. haha I went to a very huge and famous bookstore called "STRAND" in New York, and bought this cute illustration book. They were so cute that I couldn't leave it in the store! haha I later found out that the illustrator was a Japanese illustrator! Her name is Sachiko Umoto, and her illustrations are very adorable.

These are my top favorite purchases I made in New York / Chicago.
hope you found it somewhat inspiring♡

New York / Chicago

New York / Chicago
Hello! and A Happy New Year!
I still cannot believe that 2014 is over.
Hope everyone had a great holiday, and hope 2015 will be a magnificent year for all of you♡
What did I do on my holiday? That is what I am going to share in this post.
I spent my holiday in Chicago and New York with my friends.
I am super thankful for being able to travel around and do what I want to do.
Even though they are both in the States, the two cities were completely different.
Chicago - I was amazed by the many traditional×modern architectures. They were just beautiful. I was invariably looking around all the architectures like a complete stranger when walking in the street. There were also several public arts around the city which made the walk in the city even more fascinating.
New York - it was a magical city with many possibilities. Although some people were callous (not going to lie), most people seemed to be energetic filled with liveliness and hope. Since I stayed for a whole week, I was able to see and explore the different faces and atmosphere of the city  (other than the busy "timesquare image" which most people tend to have of New York) which was awesome!
So...without anymore blabbing, here are some of the pictures!
hope you find it somewhat inspiring...:)
